A longtime medical fixture from Meadville has acquired an enduring plumbing and heating provider based in Cochranton.

Vantage announced last week that it has purchased Deeter Plumbing & Heating. The acquisition means Deeter, located in Cochranton for more than 60 years, will gradually be consolidated with Vantage’s Meadville facilities, according to a statement from the company.

A new training trailer that is expected to improve emergency response preparedness for the city and nearby municipalities went into service last week, according to an announcement from Meadville Central Fire Department.

The multipurpose trailer is for exercises such as fire suppression evolutions, search and rescue, ventilation techniques and multi-agency drills, all in a dedicated, realistic environment.

What began as a wish for local hospitals to take charge of their future has developed into a comprehensive health care partnership over the past 40 years. Vantage Healthcare Network is celebrating four decades of service this weekend, and it all begins in 1985.

Vantage Healthcare Network of Meadville has announced the appointment of Adam Nelson as its new chief executive officer, effective June 23.
