Dispatch (Delivery)

The medications, equipment and supplies must be delivered to the patient at home.

Timing is critical to ensure that the delivery is received before the nurse’s visit and in time for the next dose.

Medical waste and sharps containers may also be picked up at each weekly delivery. Delivery staff must be trained in safe handling of bio-hazardous waste.
